The cabin along the
property's entry driveway was moved onto
its present
site in
1918
by a man named Wellington Finch.
He was the son of
Beulah
Wadhams. A
caption in an
earlier photo of that structure says simply, "It was
for the servants".
This
dry caption
from
an old photo album provides a fascinating
glimpse of social
dynamics
in earlier times
on
Fir Mountain. Mrs. Wadhams and her
son,"the servants",
had bought
the property
from the
Sidney's after Mrs. Sidney's death.
